Where: Honokohau Boat Harbor, Kailua-Kona, big island of Hawaii
Directions to the Harbor and Marina:
It is located around 10 minutes south of the Kona-Keahole airport,
and 5-10 minutes north of Kailua-Kona.
You will see a huge green sign marked with the name of the Marina.
Please follow directions below to the North Public Restrooms:
Turn into the marina, (watch for an American flag on your left, and a small wooden yellow sign that says “Aloha”) and take the first street to the right. Follow the road and pass boats in dry dock on your left, boats getting fixed and painted, boats in storage. When you reach a small deli/fuel station on your left, turn to your left. Look to your right and you will see a huge parking lot. Look through the parking lot to see the restroom, grey concrete blocks and a brown roof. Please park close to the restrooms and look for me. ~ Anjani

Some general information:
Dolphin encounters can last anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. Remember, your life can change with a one second glance in the eye of a dolphin! The dolphin encounters are different every day. Some days the dolphins come very close to us, other days they cruise by underneath or beside us. Some days they jump and spin and play the leaf game for hours, other days they are more sedate. We just enjoy whatever is in store for us each day, and respect that the dolphins have free will and choice in any moment!
There is no need to be a good swimmer to enjoy swimming with dolphins. Swimmers of any ability can have extraordinary encounters. We come prepared with flotation devices, noodles, floatation jackets etc. Please just let us know in advance if there are any health issues, fears, or handicaps for us to prepare for in advance.
The water temperature here is warm all year round. Consider bringing or hiring a wetsuit or scratch-guard (rented and sold in dive stores) in December or January, although this is not essential. Please give us 24 hours notice, and provide us your weight, height and name.
Wear a swimsuit under your outerwear/sarong. If you have your own snorkel gear, bring it! Bring hat, sunglasses, sunscreen lotion, and towel. Oh, and if you'd like to capture your experiences on film, please remember to bring along an underwater camera!
If you are feeling concerned about the possibility of experiencing motion
sickness, please feel free to bring along over-the-counter drugs to accommodate
your needs. Remember that many of the over the counter drugs require a
one-hour lead time before the boat departs. Our recommendation is also
to bring along ginger in any form, (drinks, candy, pill form) ..as this
can be quite sufficient to control any upset.
